
Touching the lives of Lynn youth on a
daily basis, Dr. Cheryl Meninno is the
director of special education for Lynn Public
Schools. An accomplished, energetic
educator with 20 years of relevant
administrative experience, Meninno joined
the Lynn Public Schools in 2004. Prior to
that, she worked in the Saugus Public
Schools and Cardinal Cushing School and
Training Center in Hanover, Mass.
Meninno works with the educationally challenged, physically
challenged, language challenged, hearing and speech impaired, and
emotionally needy students. She works collaboratively with the
superintendent’s administrative team to represent the special
education department and meets regularly with community groups
and parent advisory groups.
Meninno also serves as a senior adjunct faculty member for the
graduate special education program at Cambridge College. She is a
member of the board of directors of Variety Children’s Charity of
New England, a nonprofit charity associated with the entertainment
industry and the Jimmy Fund. In addition to serving on the board,
Meninno volunteers at Variety Children’s Charity events. She also
volunteers at Special Olympics events.
