As executive director of Abbott
House Nursing Home in Lynn, Michele
Desmarais sets an example of leadership
and commitment to her staff and
residents. She is responsible for the
day-to-day functions of the 55-bed
facility that has served the Greater
Lynn community since 1963.
Desmarais is a licensed nursing home
administrator and certified aging services professional.
Prior to joining Abbot House in 2003, she worked as an
administrator for the City of Lynn’s Joseph B. Devlin
Public Medical Institute.
A Lynn native and resident, Desmarais serves on the
Lynn Board of Health and the boards of the Lynn Boys and
Girls Club, All Care Resources and North Shore Medical
Center. She is a member of the Lynn Business Partnership
and Greater Lynn Senior Services advisory board. She is
also an active member of the Lynn Rotary Club and will
serve as president elect for 2008-09. |
