After graduating from Salem State College, Dearborn honed her skills in the lighting business by spending 15 years at Delande Lighting in Salem before leaving to open Lucia Lighting and Design with Lynn businessman David Solimine Jr. Founded in June, 2005, Lucia Lighting already has 12 employees.

A native of Monson in Western Mass., she is an accomplished lighting designer who has worked on hundreds of construction projects and assisted homeowners, electrical contractors, and interior decorators.

A former soccer coach at Swampscott High, Dearborn has organized toy drives in Salem for Toys for Tots, collected professional clothing for women in need, donated services to local nonprofits, and been an active member of three chambers of commerce.
